First Aid and Defibrillation for children
The Mini Medics course is a very basic introduction to First Aid and Defibrillation aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 11, but it can suit children of any age. The course is kept at a basic level with no use of confusing terminologies.
THE COURSE WILL SHOW COMPLETE RESPECT FOR THE CHILD’S ABILITY, MAKE IT EDUCATIONAL AND PRACTICAL, AND INSTIL THE IMPORTANCE OF HELPING SOMEONE WHO IS POORLY OR INJURED.
Mini Medics is perfect for schools and after school clubs, but can also be held within the local community over the weekends or during the school holidays. Providing the venue is suitable, sufficient and safe, the courses can be held anywhere, anytime of the year.
A range of subjects can be covered including:
- What is First Aid?
- First Aid kits
- Recovery position
- Resuscitation (CPR)
- DR ABC
- Wounds and bleeding
- Communication and contacting the emergency services
Time: 1,2 or 3 Hours
This is a non-regulated course and attendance is all that is required. Optional test/quizzes are available in the form of a worksheet which are included in each student pack.
The Student Pack includes (for 2 and 3 hour sessions only):
- 32 page fully illustrated A4 book, including a cut-out ‘Mini Medics’ certificate
- A unique syringe-style ballpoint pen in red or blue OR standard ballpoint pens OR pencil set
- 4 page worksheet with fun and educational activities

1 hour session: £15.00
2 hour session: £25.00
3 hour session: £35.00
