Our Paediatric First Aid course is delivered through a flexible blended learning programme, combining interactive online learning with practical, face-to-face training. This approach allows you to complete the theory at a time that suits you before attending the practical session, where you’ll develop the hands-on skills needed to respond confidently to emergency situations involving infants and children.
Course Format
This blended learning programme consists of:
– 6 hours of online interactive learning, completed at your own pace before the practical
session.
– 6 hours of practical, face-to-face training, delivered by an experienced instructor to develop
and assess your practical first aid skills.
This flexible format reduces time away from work while ensuring you receive comprehensive, hands-
on training.

- The role and responsibilities of a Paediatric First Aider
- Conducting a primary survey
- Resuscitation (CPR) for infants and children, including the safe use of an AED
- Choking emergencies
- Seizures and febrile convulsions
- Diabetic emergencies and asthma
- Allergic reactions, including anaphylaxis
- Meningitis recognition and response
- Minor injuries and wound management
- Fractures
- Head, neck and back injuries
- The effects of extreme heat and cold
- Foreign bodies in the eyes, ears and nose
- Electrical incidents
